Meet Bailey! I’ve known Bailey almost her entire life so she’s basically family! I was so excited when she asked if I’d do a fun photoshoot with her. Of course I will! While I was in Utah in July we came up with lots of fun ideas and ultimately decided that The Love Letter Museum in Salt Lake was where we should take the photos. I’m so glad that’s where we ended up. Bailey loooooves to read so I felt like this was a perfect setting for her personality. It also worked out well that it was good entertainment for my kids because I had to drag them along with me on this one. They love Bailey just as much as I do, if not more. They keep asking when they get to go back to Bailey’s house. So needless to say, they were happy to tag along.
I’ve been taking pictures of Bailey and her family since I was in high school. And I babysat Bailey and her younger brother for a few years before that even. Let’s not talk about how long ago that was. Like I said, we’re pretty much family.
Bailey is an incredibly smart, witty, fun and bubbly girl with lots of sass! I can say that because I’ve got sass too. Our moms gave it to us. She teaches 6th grade and is an awesome teacher. Her students love her and I know they have a good time with her.
She’s been through a lot in the last several years because of a car accident that she was in with her mom. She’s suffered a lot because of that accident but she’s overcome so much as well. She is stronger because of it and is becoming an amazing person. You can read more about her accident and the things she’s gone through on her blog called Scars to Your Beautiful. I wanted these pictures to show her how amazing and beautiful and fun she is. We all need someone on the outside to show us that for ourselves sometimes. I hope that these photos do that for her. I’m so happy that we were able to do this fun photoshoot together and I can’t wait to do it again.
